This four blade "G.E.C" fan, made in the 1930's is in "as found" condition.The fan body has retained much of its' original painted finish, although the gold lettering has faded. The heavy cast metal body and base have the usual marks, scuffs and scratches that you would associate with an item of this age.There are no splits or cracks to the four blades or cage, that I can find, and the central boss has ''G.E.C".The fan will require rewiring and I have been unable to test if it is in w...orking order. However, the blades do rotate smoothly and the head moves from side to side. The cage and head don't stay up as the bolt to the side doesn't quite reach the head, due to their being a groove worn in to the side by the bolt. . It is sold as a "collectable item" and if being bought to use, it would need to be checked and refurbished by a qualified electrician or engineer before use.The fan measures 41 cm (16 inches) to the top of the cage.
