One rare and highly collectible round bronze vertigris sculpture of a swimming "Fish". Hand sculpted by renowned artist / sculpter Edward T. Hurley - aka E.T. Hurley (1869-1950) of Cincinnati, Ohio, during the early 20th century Arts & Crafts movement. ETH initials on the bottom.
Hurley studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati where he excelled in drypoint etching under the tutelage of noted painter Frank Duveneck. Hurley was also an accomplished painter and went on t...o work as a decorator for the renowned Cincinnati based Rookwood Pottery company. In addition, the artist produced a variety of work on his own including sketches and works executed in watercolor, pastel and oil. Hurley also worked with metal and sculpted a variety of pieces in bronze. His bronze pieces are rare and avidly collected.
Condition: Excellent (See All Photos) Nice areas of patina have started to form on top and bottom. No dents or cracks. Sits perfectly flat.
