US Cavalry leather saddlebags, WW I, stamped 1918, AG Spalding & Bros.. Condition is Used. All straps, buckles, and other hardware is complete. There are no holes in the bags, only scuffs and marks from being over a hundred years old. I was going to soften the leather, but decided to leave it as is, as some products will ruin the originality. They are a little stiff, but not cracked. They're actually better than the others I've seen listed. ...; The inside pouches are original with a couple of small holes. There is a Spalding manufacturing Trade Mark stamped into the area above the bags. It says AG Spalding & Bros. Est. A.D. 1876, REG. U.S. PAT. OF, with the year 1918 stamped above, and the initials HGL below. Included in the last photo is a similar round trade mark Spalding used on their baseballs in 1876.
