Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a 1970's era Atlas microphone floor stand (model MS-12C) that has a cast iron (10 inch wide) base and a two piece retractable chrome stem Made in Parsippany, NJ. The original chrome on all of the stems shows very lite wear and the original Atlas logo is still present and in good condition. The action clutch holds the two stems in place nicely and the stand is adjustable from 35 inch...es low to 64 inches tall. The 3 original rubber pads are in excellent condition and keep the stand from scratching the floor. The cast iron base has the original paint which looks very nice with just the a minimum of wear as seen in the detailed pics provided. The bottom of the base is quite nice and shows almost no rust stains. The older Atlas stands are a great choice as the newer ones only depreciate in value as these older ones are going up. Overall this stand is an easy 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. Very good for a 40 + year old stand. This would make a very nice display stand for any vintage microphone and the thread on top is universal so any mic or mic clip will fit on this stand. As with all my vintage microphones and stands... I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy.
