This Authentic Colonial American Queen Anne Document of 1707 Is on Hand Laid Paper and is in Absolutely Super Condition. Bristol Memorandum That on the 8th Day of July 1707 in The 6th Year of The Reign of Her Majesty Anne of England& Before Nathanuel Byfield Esq & other of His Majesty's Justices Sitting In Court In Quarter Sessions at Bristol within and For The County of Bristol on The 2nd Tuesday of July Came & Appeared David Freeman of Attleborough in The County Aforesaid... and Became Bound For Bamfield Capron of Attleborough in The Sum of 10 Pounds and That Bamfield Capron for himself in The Sum of 10 Pound Currant Money of New England which They Severally Acknowledge To be Due & Owing unto her Majesty's Her Heirs & Successors Levied on There Goods Chattels Lands & Tenements If Default be Made of The Condition Following. The Condition of This Present Recognizance is Such that if The above Boundon Bamfield Capron is Admitted & Allowed by The Justices of the Above sd Court To Keep A Common Ale House or Victualing House To The Common Selling of Wine, Ale, Beer & Cyder for The Space of 1 Whole Year & No longer in the Now Dwelling House of The sd Bamfield Capron in Attleborough aforesaid Known By the sign of The:---------& No Other If therefore The sd Bamfield Capron During sd Time Shall Not Permit Suffer or Allow Any Playing of At Dice, Cards, Loggits, Tables, Shuffleboard, Quoits, Ninepins, Billiards, Bowols (Bowling) or any other Unlawful Game or Games In His House, Garden, Yard, Back Side or any of The Dependencies Thereof Nor shall Suffer to Be or Remain in His House Not Being of his ordinary Household or Family on The Lords Day or any Part thereof Contrary To law NOR SHALL SELL ANY WINE, LIQUORS or OTHER STRONG DRINKS UNTO ANY APPRENTICES, SERVANTS, INDIANS OR NEGROS Nor Shall Suffer any Person or Persons To Be Tipling Drinking or Continue There After Nine of The Clock in The Night time and in His House Shall Do & Maintain Good Order & Rule and Do and Endeavor The Observance of The Laws Made for The Regulation of Such Houses Then This obligation To Be Void& of Non Affect Or Else to Stand & Abide and Be In Full Force & Virtue Acknowledged in Court Att John Cary Clerk.
