AN EXTREMELY RARE, ORIGINAL AND EXQUISITE VICTORIAN LACEWORK PIECE - circa 1861 (OR CLOSE THEREAFTER), COMMEMORATING THE ROYAL CONSORT PRINCE ALBERT'S BIRTH, MARRIAGE AND DEATH. THE CENTRAL DEDICATION IS ACCOMPANIED BY A LOVELY FLORAL SURROUND.  THE PIECE HAS BEEN RESEARCHED, BUT WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PIN THIS WORK DOWN TO THE ACTUAL MAKER, NOR FIND ONE EVEN CLOSE TO IT ON THE ENTIRE INTERNET.  A HIGH QUALITY PIECE WHICH APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN EXECUTED IN WOVEN WHITE CO...TTON LACE & VERY LIKELY NOT INEXPENSIVE TO BUY BACK IN THE MID 19th CENTURY. IT NOW DESERVES TO BE CARED FOR PROPERLY, PERHAPS FRAMED AND MOUNTED AND DISPLAYED IN PREFERABLY A MUSEUM. THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT.
