Very nice vintage sewing machine by Morse.
I have had a lot of older machines from top quality German Adlers to all kinds of Singers etc....& this seems like a really nice quality machine, I do not know the maintenance history on this but it seems like it was really well cared for or hardly used. Very clean all around & under the machine, motor is strong with no smells, operation is smooth. I tested this some & used most stitches & all... seemed fine. I did use the button hole settings but was not 100% sure of the use, settings changed & seemed to work, but not properly tested.
I wanted a white background for the stitches & ended up using two sheets of tyvek, it is thin but this still did a nice job, the last photo shows the rear of the stitches....this is a heavy powerful machine & it feels like it could sew most anything you would need.
Very clean machine all around with just a few mild marks here or there, the case is nice with a few scuffs, the cords look near new actually, kind of shiny & very clean.
This is the 4400 model with the enclosed motor, it looks like the cover comes off pretty easy for access but I have not tried it, nice design though.
This is just over 40 lbs in the case, probably the heaviest home machine I have seen, with all the packing needed, it will likely be 50 lbs to ship, I will use fed ex ground calculated shipping to help keep the cost down. I will get the final box dimensions ASAP to be sure the shipping is as low as possible.
Comes with bobbin & case & foot pedal & the needle that is installed...it looks like it takes pretty common bobbins & such,
Thanks for looking, have a great day !!!
