Vintage Chouinard Creag Dubh And Face Nord Packs

For Sale: vintage Chouinard Creag Dubh and Face Nord Packs. The Creag Dubh (1600 cu. in. per 1979 catalog page shown) is in decent shape. The steel fittings show some rust and the outer fabric shows some scuffs. See pictures. The side panels and bottom fabrics exhibit a failure of the waterproof coating (see 5th and 6th pictures) that have been recoated with commercially available waterproofing. The coating has a somewhat stickiness to it. The foams in the padding and shoulder straps a...re flexible and functional. The Face Nord Pack (2200 cu. in.) is in very good shape. It also shows some rust on the shoulder strap fittings. The waist metal fitting is missing, but the original straps are there. The interior coating on the Face Nord pack is in good shape (see 10th pic). The padding foams in the back and shoulder straps are soft, flexible and functional. Both packs have after-market ice axe loops that can be easily removed if desired. PayPal is the easiest and preferred method of payment. All other forms take too long. Thanks.
