My family owned a pool room in West Babylon, Long Island in the early 60's. I purchase this cue from a player passing thru in 1964. The condition of this cue is amazing for it being more then 55 years old. It is in the same shape as when I bought it. To my thinking, the Acrylic Sleeve on the butt or whatever else was there, was missing then and still is. Back in the day, this might have had the owners name printed under a clear acrylic. I never saw it and don't know what it looked like. It comes with a second shaft, not original but fits well and play great.
I left the Island in 1965, moved to South Florida and gave up the game until 2005 when I started playing in the APA. I am now 77 years old and still playing in the APA three nights a week.
Although it hasn't been played with for years, it's still ready to run a few racks. About 21 oz. with a 13 MM tip, that rolls good. I am sure that if this cue could talk, it would make for some very interesting listening.
