This listing is for a fully functional, BATTERY OPERATED CHEF COOK w/box as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in excellent working order. Condition is excellent - near mint. Displays very well. Battery compartment is nice and clean as are the connections. The 6 correct actions of this toy are as follows: (1) Stove top lights up red, (2) Left hand salts the pan, (3) Right hand shakes the pan in a sideways motion, (4) Body continuously sways from side to side, (5) Chef opens a...nd closes his mouth as if talking, (6) Right hand flips the pan to flip the food over...( original tin litho egg/ham is included ) Process is then repeated. Very neat! This is an awesome toy sure to delight everyone who sees it in action. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is pictured & listed on page 44. It is a 1950's era toy made by the Yonezawa Y Co. It has a rarity of 6 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $350.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The original box is included. It is in good - very good condition, although it does have a number of clear tape repairs. This toy would display nicely in any restaurant, tavern, pub, bar, brewery, or family rec-room decor or addition to your Burger Chef, Piggy Cook, Cuty Cook or Piggy Barbecue BBQ.
