Windows 98 SE Compaq Presario 3555 Pentium III Vintage Gaming PC /w LCD Monitor
Item History & Price
Compaq Presario 3555 desktop PC with matching factory FP725D 15 inch flat panel LCD monitor from year 2000. This PC is finished in an unique and sleek looking dark blue/black color and has its factory matching Compaq monitor, Compaq "internet" keyboard, and Compaq scroll wheel mouse also in dark blue/black color. In the late 90s early 2000s, most all computers were a beige white color, with the introduction of the indigo blue iMac in 1998, that all started to change and the other manuf...acturers changed up their PC designs and colors to stand out for the new millennium.
This like-new condition Compaq Presario is a time capsule. It comes from a non-smoking environment, outside is very clean with no signs of hard use, scratches or marks. The keyboard and mouse is like-new with all keys working and markings in tact. Inside the case is dust free and clean as it left the factory. The monitor is bright and sharp, there are some barely noticeable ghosting lines, probably from its age, but otherwise does not interfere with function.
The machine boots up to Windows 98 SE, has a fast Pentium III 500 MHz processor, 128MB of RAM, 3.2GB IDE hard drive, 3.5 inch floppy drive, and a CD-Rewritable drive. Inside it has three PCI expansion slots, a 56k modem installed, plus it has built in Sound Blaster compatible audio with front and rear jacks, plus three USB 1.0 ports. Together with the flat panel LCD monitor and color, it was a top of the line home PC for year 2000. Its ready to run Windows 98 games or DOS games.
Also included are the original papers, owners manuals, two original Compaq restore CDs, 2 power cables, and a monitor cable. Everything works but since this is an almost 20 year old PC, sold AS-IS.
