Identified as the following on the throat of the racket. "D.W. GRANBERRY CO NEW YORK HAND MADE ASSOCIATION 2-1/8"
The racket is quite light weighing 12.5 ounces. It measures 26-7/7" long and the widest point on the racket head is 8-3/4".
For it's age the racket is in good condition. There are no wood separations or cracks to the wood. When I put the racket on the floor there is a slight gap in the middle of... the racket. Possibly a slight wrap? Several of the original Gut strings are broke but for a wall hanger and a piece of early American Tennis history it is quite nice.
According to a google article I read there is much debate who was the first American manufacturer to produce tennis rackets and the D.W. Granberry Co is a contender.
If your a collector you already know how seldom these Granberry rackets become available for sale.
