For sale today we have this Delightful Royal Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vase by Florence Barlow and Francis Pope. The baluster form vase features 3 very well executed panels of wheeling seagulls (rarely if ever seen on FEB's pieces) framed within borders of Art Nouveau influenced spade shaped leaves- all set against a mottled treacle ground. Stands 11 " tall and is stamped with a Doulton Lambeth lion mark, date shield "f" for 1905, along with incised FEB 658 for Bar...low and FCP 205 for Pope, with assistants as shown.
A lovely piece presented to the market displaying beautifully. The vase has a small flat chip to the base rim, the piece has been re stuck and it is not noticed- it would however be a very simple restore should you wish (personally, I don't think it is necessary). This piece would make a very nice addition to any Doulton Lambeth collection.
This outstanding example of Doulton Lambeth pottery is for sale on a low start, no reserve auction. Please take a moment to view my other listings from the rich decorative arts period of the late 1800's and early 1900's! Thank you for your interest.
