I purchased this essentially mint, factory-painted brass Key HO scale model Union Pacific UP 4-12-2 new in 2005. Among a few versions that were available, I selected #9043 based on photos I had in books by Don Ball. Other details stated on the original sales slip include that it is a modernized "Standard Nine" with outside throttle, Worthington feed-water heater, and 18K gallon tender. The fourth pair of drivers lack flanges, presumably to improve tracking on curves. Except for brief t...esting when I received it and just prior to this sale, this locomotive has never been run - I am the only owner. It tested well, running quietly with the locomotive and tender lights working correctly with direction. It has been in a display case its entire life with me in a collection of other brass locomotives. A small package of 4 extra screws that came with it will be included.
