A DESIGNERS ANTIQUE WILTON WOOL RUG / CARPET EARTH TONES JUST UNDER A 6 x 9 ESTATE FIND ACTUAL APPROX SIZE : 5' 11" x 8' 9" A VERY NEUTRAL COLOR FIELD ! Hi, This rug is very old, but not worn out. These rugs were always of real wool pile and they were made in strips and then sown together. This rug is made in three sections. the patterns of the antique Wiltons were mostly of Persian or European patterns. Hard to find the a...ntique ones in good condition, but this one is in pretty nice shape. The fringes are all there and the pile of the rug is quite an even low. These were always thin rugs. Photos taken in full sun. Where the pile is slightly higher you will notice a little darker area than the rest of the rug. Also depending on which end you are looking, the rug will show differently. This is all part of the sheen and typical of small areas of lessor wear. Character in the old rug for sure. This rug should last another 50 years if placed in a low traffic area.
