You are bidding on an original postwar Lionel Set #1591 O27 USMC Diesel Freight Train that was cataloged in 1958. The original consist is a #212 USMC Alco Diesel A-Unit, #6803 Flatcar With Military Units, #6809 Flatcar With Military Units, #6807 Flatcar With USMC DKW "Duck" and a #6017-50 USMC Caboose. Also includes track, #1008 Cam-Trol Uncoupler and a #1015 45 Watt Transformer. The locomotive is in excellent+ condition and has no problems or damage. The plastic body is flawless. The... metal parts are rust and corrosion-free. The surfaces are extremely clean and have very few noticeable contact marks. Runs forward and reverse with a 2-position e-unit. Features Magne-Traction and has an operating headlight. This locomotive has been tested and was found to be in running condition. The cars are all in excellent condition and have no problems or damage. The fragile loads are all 100% original with absolutely no cracks, repairs or reproduction parts. The surfaces are extremely clean and have very few noticeable contact marks. The lettering is clear and bold. The metal parts have excellent original finish. Each has AAR (plastic) trucks with operating couplers. The set box is in good condition with no major problems or damage. Shows overall moderate wear and has some writing evident. The component boxes are all in very nice condition with no major problems or damage. Each shows overall light wear. The 6807 box is factory renumbered and has two missing end flap ears.
