A Very nice example of a 'Yorkshire Penny Bank" book safe. Date I would guess was late Victorian, early Edwardian?. It measures about 95 x 60 x 10mm.
It is empty. The holder would have taken the book to the Bank where the a key was held. The contents would have been credited to the holders account.This is probably the nicest example of a Bank box I've ever seen.
Condition as above. Ple...ase see extra Large scans and grade accordingly.
