Rare 1890s Cast Iron Door Knocker With Internal Through Wall Bell Mechanism

As the title suggests this cast iron door knocker actually activates at a distance no less and from the OUTSIDE of the house, to a bell fitted INSIDE the house! The tapping pin that the knocker hits is spring loaded and sends a jolt through the connecting rod to beautifully and loudly activate the bell inside! The mechanism works perfectly and gives both a tap and a loud ring to the bell! This would be easy enough to retro fit into a property as it all unscrews and the generous space ...of the bridging rods should allow most wall thicknesses and may be able to be shortened (or just choc out with a wooden block or mounting board to pad out any gaps? The whole assembly is here and included. The piece is in excellent vintage condition, working and ready to install. A few useful dimensions.
