RARE Apple SCSI Disk Mode Cable - P/N 590 - 0718 - A -,
Item History & Price
RARE! Genuine Apple SCSI Disk Mode Cable - P/N 590-0718-A - Used, Tested Working
This is a Genuine Apple cable from the 1990's and early 2000's (You can see the Apple logo in the second image, above.) Apple part number is 590-0718-A.
It has a HDI-30 male connector at one end and a standard female Centronics 50-pin connector at the other end (see third image, above). It is designed to connect a Macintosh Powerbook or iBook HDI-30 SCSI port to another Macintosh Po...werbook or laptop which also has an HDI-30 SCSI port. Once connected the second mac can be used as a hard drive by the first mac, allowing data to be exchanged between the two.
NOTE: This cable cannot be used to connect two macs together by itself. It requires another standard SCSI cable with an HDI-30 connector on one end, and a Centronics 50-pin male connector on the other. (Unfortunately I do not have such a cable myself, but they are widely available on eBay.)
Cable is used with some slight cosmetic damage in the form of dings and marks due to age, but was tested working within the last year. No bent pins or corrosion anywhere on it.
Guaranteed Working when the buyer receives it.
