“Genesis” by Ted Dekker, an extremely rare, very early, very rough draft for what would eventually become “Black”, the first book in The Circle Trilogy and The Books of History Series.
In the words of the author:“This book will certainly disappoint you on some levels. I mean, how could any manuscript in which the Shataiki are called Zorks and Thomas Hunter goes by the name Ian not disappoint? ... But it may also greatly encourage you, because you will see the first fl...edgling efforts of a bursting heart as it attempts to bleed on the page.”
It’s from a single printing for an extremely limited run as a prize for Ted’s writing convention The Ragged Edge ages ago, so needlessly to say it is Out of Print and nearly impossible to get ahold of even an unsigned copy, and this copy is signed, so this is a collector’s item for the most dedicated Ted Dekker super fan who must have every word the man has put to page.
There is some slight fraying on the corners, but overall it was very lightly handled so it’s in good shape. Ted also personalized it to “Brandon”, so that may just make it all the more special if that’s your name, but if not, it‘s still a coveted and nearly impossible to acquire find for the ultimate Dekker fan.
