Very rare Hochst white biscuit figure group c1775. This figure group was certainly modelled J.P Melchior. This group is of a shepherdess and companion. For an almost identical figure group certainly from the same series see christies auction sale - 31st march 2008 lot 158 where it made £4, 750! This group does have some repairs as clearly shown, The main areas being one hand each of the woman and gent, The womans hat also appears to be repaired and the hat brim of the male - Pleas...e study photos as everything is shown. Overall an adorable rare 18th century figure group for the collector, The shepherdess with a sheep, the companion with a lovely dog beside him. Measures 7.8'' inches tall and 9.3'' inches in length.
