This is a rare 1989 issue/edition (printed in Great Britain) Hodder & Stoughton Black Calfskin Leather (stamp on the inside cover) NIV Bible with the original slipcase. Very Good+ or Like New- Still has a faint leather aroma! Binding excellent, pages are clean and unmarked. . and leather in in terrific condition Looks and feels like real leather should . . . I don't think the Bible was hardly used if at all. . Just being critical from keeping it listed as Like New... . . there are maybe a few small faint light scratches you can see on the gilt edge with a critical eye (but you have to hunt to find them) and you can see a few folds in the original ribbon marker. Picking up the Bible and looking through it you are impressed it's in very nice clean condition with most definite like new qualities. Measures 8 3/8" x 5 3/4" x 1 1/8" and so easy to carry with dimensions that are just a little larger than the Zondervan Thinline Bible. Black letter text throughout with a single ribbon marker to hold your place for daily reading. It's really just a text based NIV Bible with important marginal readings at the bottom of the page, a section giving brief paragraph introductions to each book of the Bible so you have some context to the historical reason for writing and important thems along with maps of the area of ancient Israel. Love the 1984 version of the New International Version. I enjoy comparison reading of translations and while the KJV, NKJV, NASB and ESV tends to follow the original construct of the Hebrew and Greek, the NIV tends to say the same thing except in contemporary English language. It's very smooth and easy to read. Would make a terrific daily reader primary Bible, travel Bible or perhaps a comparison reader to another favorite translation.
Certainly open to combining shipping for discounts. See the other sundry items in my store. You can ask for a quote or select buy it now on the items and request an invoice. Regarding payment, most people I have dealt with have been wonderful about sending PayPal very shortly after an auction or buy-it-now ends. With that said, I realize sometimes a person needs to transfer funds or they need to get physically to a place where they can send payment and complete the transaction. . No problem at all, if you would just help out with communications to me so I know what to expect that would be great. Regarding shipping, as a general practice, you should expect your package to be shipped within 48-72 hours after payment is received, barring a weekend or other circumstances in the middle. You certainly should expect to see great communication from me and of course I’ll include tracking number as I receive this from the shipping carrier. As an aside, I really like my 100% feedback. I work hard on describing correctly, packing well and communication so you are pleased with the transaction. If for some reason something unforeseen should develop, please allow me the opportunity to correct/make right before leaving detrimental feedback (which good Lord willing we won't have to do). <><
