Up for auction is a RARE 18/19TH CENTURY CHINESE PUCE ENAMEL EGGSHELL PORCELAIN BIRD FEEDER WATER POT. This bird feeder is part of an extraordinary estate collection of rarely found bird feeders. The feeders are from the collection of the late William Lipton, whom was well known as a scholarly object collector that specialized in collecting bird feeders. We are told some examples from this collection have been published.
Unique and vibrant Ruby enamel. Finely and thinly potted of eggshell porcelain with finely carved footrim. A rare and unique find.
Condition: The feeder shows some minor wear around the cage mounts and is otherwise in very fine condition with no damage or repairs. All items inspected under UV light to ensure no hidden damage.
Size: The bird feeder measures 1 7/8 inches wide including bird cage mount, by 1 5/8 inch wide and 1 1/4 inches tall.
