Manufactured by National Aluminum Co. Racine Wis. Number 279 Genuine 1920s-30s period old police car license topper is in excellent condition just as found. Made of thick cast aluminum with a 2” red glass prism faceted reflector lens. This late 19th century beginnings Racine Wis. firm was most active making aluminum automobile accessories in the 1920s. The company was sold in 1943. Circle diameter of the stars tips is appx. 4 ½ inches. Guaranteed authentic. Not a repro or modern fan...tasy piece.
