Vintage Carved AMBER Leaf Pendant. Bale is marked 1/20 12k GF. The leaf is a transparent yellow honey color, and measures 44mm long x 31mm wide x 12mm thick. Weight is 8.25 grams. Condition is pre-owned, an estate item, in very good to near excellent condition, with no damage. I have not handled very much amber, so I googled a safe way to test it. I chose the static electricity test: rubbing it with a cloth for nearly a minute, and checking to see if... it would pick up a couple of strands of hair. It certainly did pass that test twice. (I did not try any other test that could cause damage to the pendant or the gold filled bale.) I do believe it is genuine, as the previous owner had quite a lot of fine jewelry, including gold.
