Vintage Navajo Shiprock Yei wool rug weaving from New Mexico. Circa early-mid 1960's. Measures 19-1/2" by 30". With original sales tag.From one family, this was purchased at a Native American shop in the Old Town Plaza of Albuquerque, NM back in the early to mid 1960's by a couple who collected Indian arti...facts. I'm selling this for the couple's estate.The tag shows it's a Navajo rug that came from "Prices' All Indian Shop" in Albuquerque which was in business in the 1960's until about 1972. It's also marked by being a "True Yei Shiprock" rug. Original price on tag was $65.00 back then.This rug was never used or displayed. It's been kept in safe storage with other Indian artifacts/items until now.It's a beautiful rug!! The colors are bold and vibrant. The weaving and side stitching is strong and secure. No holes, stains, frays, or musty basement odors. Wool is nice and pliable and is NOT dry or brittle.This rug has been kept VERY well over the years and will display nicely.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SHIPPING NOTICE: I ship all my items once a week every MONDAY.
