This auction is for an antique paper mache Milliners Model Doll. Her legs and arms are blue banded wood with painted green shoes and her head down to her shoulders and chest are paper mache. I am unsure what her torso is made from. (please see pictures) When I pull back some of the clothing, her body appears to be in very good condition and intact. She has pretty blue eyes and red lips with a faded rosy cheek. Her face shows wear and aging so refer to the ...pictures please. Her hair is black and has low curls. It appears to me that someone added to her dress to pockets which hold a thimble and a hat that was used as a pin cushion, to use as a sewing doll. The hat is simply glued on (see picture) and the pockets hand stitched. Both additions appear to be very old. I am selling as is, because I know whomever is lucky enough to bring her home will do a much better job protecting her original condition when removing the hat. She is wearing all of her original under garments, but they are stained and I think the dress is original too (the skirt has a few worn holes). She measures 8" from the top of her head to her feet. She is a real treasure! Please refer to the pictures for exact condition and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
