Vintage C1930 " Adler Mod. 7 " Thrust Action Typewriter With Bentwood Case

This superb "Adler" "Mod. 7" typewriter dates from around 1930 and with its' original bentwood case is in good 'as found' condition.The print heads strike the platen when the keys are depressed and the carriage drops down when the "G" or "Z" key is pressed.Unfortunately, the carriage return cable is broken, although, the carriage does move along and rotates well.One of the ribbon spools is a replacement. The machine has retained virtually all of its' original black lacquered finish, h...owever, there is some minor scratching and wear marks in places. The gold lettering and eagle logo has a very good depth of colour without any breaks or scratching.The nickel plating and metal parts have also retained their finish.The keys are all present and the lettering, numbers, etc are clear and legible and there is no staining to the celluloid coverings .I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.The serial number for this machine is "261149".The machine has its' original oak base and bentwood case, the gold writing and logo to are in good condition and there is no damage to the bentwood.
