An Ilford Photoelectric Exposure Meter Type C manufactured for Ilford by The Automatic Coil Winder and Electrical Equipment Company Ltd. (AVO), London, c1949.
This meter has a moving coil movement and a selenium cell. It does not require a battery. It is scaled in Scheiner speed rating. Brief instructions for use on the reverse. It is complete with the makers leather case.
The meter and its leather case are both in excellent condition. It is responding to light but has not been t...ested for accuracy.
This item is part of a large collection of exposure meters built up over about 50 years and now for sale (see my other items). Please read the descriptions and look at the photographs. Most are in working order. Their cosmetic and functional condition has beed described as well as possible but they have not been tested for accuracy. Cds and selenium cells often lose their sensitivity with age therefore these exposure meters are sold as collectors items, if found to be usable this will be a bonus.
