Weston Master III photoelectric exposure meter, model S141.3, manufactured by Sangamo Weston and marketed by Ilford Ltd, England, c1956. Serial No. T2034.
A well made exposure meter with a moving coil movement and a selenium cell. It requires no battery.
The meter takes reflected light readings. A hinged flap on the back of the meter selects high or low light levels and facilitates the use of an accessory incidental light attachment (not included). The meter is in good cosmetic c...ondition and responding to light but has not been tested for accuracy.
The Weston Master III meter was the first Weston model to be calibrated in ASA.
The meter is complete with makers leather case which is in good condition.
This item is part of a large collection of exposure meters built up over about 50 years and now for sale (see my other items). Please read the descriptions and look at the photographs. Most are in working order. Their cosmetic and functional condition has been described as well as possible but they have not been tested for accuracy. Selenium and Cds cells often lose sensitivity with age, therefore these exposure meters are sold as collectors items. If found to be usable this will be a bonus. Please bid accordingly.
