Very Rare Mathema 2/84N slide rule by Faber Castell. Very nice specimen. The Mathema 2/84N is an "ultimate" slide rule, extremely hard to find.
This rule is in excellent good condition. Gently used, with minor scratches visible on close inspection. Original green and clear clamshell case is included, as are German-language instructions, green polymer end braces and the original plastic insert.
The accessories (case, end braces, and instructions) are a bit ...brittle or yellowed, as if they might have spent time in a warm attic. It is a testament to Faber-Castell's design and engineering that the slide rule itself shows no sign of aging -- the Mathema itself is in excellent condition!
