What we believe is the first factory iteration of the vintage orange tube Celestron C8 dew shield though it could be aftermarket. Not metal, looks to be Sonotube or something like it.
Got this with a very nice little used C8 setup but as we were unable to sell the complete kit we are parting it out. This is the last piece available at the moment (sold the triangle tripod and wedge, keeping the OTA, thinking about the fork/base). Good condition on the outside as you can see, so...me scuffing of the interior. We are pretty sure this originally was push-on and perhaps a previous owner put on the two little pieces of angle metal to stop it at a certain point.
