Up for auction is a Beautiful American Art Nouveau Architectural Salvage Woman Bust made of Plaster. This piece was probably salvaged from the interior of a old Chicago Theater from the early to late 1920's, & was likely fabricated by the decorators' supply company of Chicago, IL.The piece is spectacular looking with 2 bold contrast enameled colors, the dark brownish backset with a rich green colored Nouveau woman in swags.The cast plaster finial is reinforced with horse hair (used as ...a binding agent) to strengthen the structural integrity. It is quite large & heavy, it measures about 30” H x 24” W x 5” DIn good condition overall with some minor plaster/paint loss (See Pics).Available for local pick up from 60645.Please ask any questions.
