A VINTAGE JOSEPH GIDMAN, KNUTSFORD, CHESHIRE, KING CANUTE PICTORIAL GINGER BEER BOTTLE dating from the early 1900's that has been found buried in an old rubbish tip a few months ago. Note the highly detailed strongly printed transfer. On the reverse is the PRICE 0 BRISTOL impressed pottery stamp. The bottle measures 17cm high and is in GOOD FAIR CONDITION being clean with full gloss sheen to the glaze surface, there is a flake on the base edge on the right hand... side and above that a very fine glaze hairline. The hairIine is perfectly stable and has been present for many years, it could well have been there when the bottle was removed from the kiln. I am quite happy to combine purchases for buyers to help save on postage and shipping costs.
