An early example of the Practos extinction meter or visual exposure meter, manufactured in Germany c1933.
A telescopic eyepiece adjusts the instrument to individual eyesight. A series of numbers of varying density can be seen through the eyepiece. Find the last visible number on the exposure calculator and you have the camera setting. The meter is scaled in Scheiner and H&D speed ratings. The calculator gives shutter speed and aperture, plus cine speeds.
The meter is in good ...used cosmetic condition, a little rubbed in places, and in working order.
