Original Description:
A vintage or antique Throwing knife or status sword from the former Belgian Congo region, with a distinct "birds head" shape, a decorated blade and a raffia wrapped wood handle. The condition is mostly good, showing age and wear overall with a dark patina, the sword itself is about 12 inches at the widest point and 21 inches overall with a 16 inch blade measured from tip to hilt. The collector says this was a status sword that may have been used as currency.We are selling this item fro...m an old collection.
