Instruction manual for use of Lumiere's Autochrome Plates used in early color photography. Invented in 1904 by Auguste and Louis Lumiere, autochrome plates were manufactured for the commercial market beginning in 1907. This booklet is not dated but appears to be consistent with that date.
The booklet measures about 8 3/8" x 5 1/4" and contains 36 pages. It has been folded vertically, with a shallow vertical crease throughout. The covers and pages are age-darkened but clean and readi...ly legible.
