Offering an original Carousel Wooden Horse made by the Allan Herschell Company, North Tonawanda, NY c. 1915 - 1920's. The horse is from the Carousel at the old fairgrounds in Memphis, TN (prior to Libertyland being built in 1976). The horse measures approximately 63" long from tail to nose, 11" wide from the widest part of body, 38" high from base of floor to top of head. The horse is in great condition, but there are a few cracks. Be sure to review all of the photos or ask any q...uestions that you have.This horse is being offered without the pole or base or any additional restoration. Whether you are just beginning to collect, adding to a collection or simply wanted the ultimate in a Memphis souvenir, this is a very rare Carousel Wooden Horse. Special Note: The National Carousel Association (NCA) ID Committee has reviewed the photos and information independently and has identified the horse as an original made by Allan Herschell Company.
