Description: Rare 1st edition of the hard cover book The Blue Fairy Book by Andrew Lang with numerous illustrations by H.J. Ford and G.P. Jacomb Hood, London Longmans, Green And Co. And New York:15 East 16th Street 1889. Printed By Spottiswoode And Co., New Street Square, London. Stamped inside fort blank page “C.A. Rathbone, The Hermitage, St. Michaels Hamlet, Liverpool”. The beautifully blue heavily embossed in gold cover depicts a witch on her broom against the night sky. The book measures 5 ¼” x 7 ½” and is complete with all 390 gold gilt edged pages plus the 16 General List Of Works pages. In very nice condition with some light foxing but no mildew or storage odors.NO reserve.
