Vintage folding loupe by famous Carl Zeiss Jena,
Reference-quality distortion and spherical aberration
free lenses with 3x 6x 9x magnification.
Optics: Made in Germany by famous Carl Zeiss Jena factory from 1950s to 1990s. Glass lenses are 21mm diameter, magnification 3x, 6x or 9x. Very durable hard plastic housing. Lenses can be unscrewed for cleaning if needed. Reference-quality optics without distortion, spherical or chromatic aberrations, as a result you have a bri...ght, clear and sharp image, please see photos with examples. It has a black framing around the lens, because black eliminates reflections that can alter the color of the object you are viewing. This loupe has a very high resolution and large field of view if compared to similar loupes.
Dimensions: Unfolded length is 78mm (3 1/8").
Condition: Excellent, as new, except of the small old glued repair on the frame that holds 3x lens (please see photos №4-5), which do not affect its usage in any way. Lenses are clear without any scratches, hinge has a smooth action with no play.

Carl Zeiss Jena optics were produced in East Germany during the Cold War, mostly for military purposes and without concern for the money spent on development and production.
