VINTAGE 1991 MOTOROLA PCH 600 PIONEER MOBILE BRICK CELL PHONE
This auction is for a classic brick phone from 1991. Pioneer PCH600 by Motorola. This classic Mobile Phone has a battery pack on the back that plugs into a to car cigarette lighter.
***AS IS***I do not know if this phone works anymore. I last used it in 2009 and it worked fine. Since then, however, the lighter plug tip on the charger fell off so I havent used it since. The phone has been in storage for ...the past 10 years. I'm 99% sure the phone will work fine and power up if you either get a new lighter tip for the charger or a whole new battery pack or some oem part on eBay to fix the cord end... The grey back of the phone slides off and there are other batteries or parts you can slide on it.The phone is solid.
The cosmetic condition is very good VG. I am saying this because overall, there are two cosmetic issues.
1. The battery pack and body up at the top has a slight crack near the antenna area. Look at photos.2. The rubber on the spiral cord that goes to the battery pack has cracked off a bit. The wires are still connected to plug. The plug itself is missing the cigarette lighter screw on tip. But what is left is in good condition.
The face and bottons are legit and in super clean condition. antennas in great condition. body is solid and prettty clean save for aforementioned small crack and spiral cord issue.
PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE PHOTOGRAPHS CLOSELY BEFORE BIDDING. All of the details are there, I'm trying to be as clear as possible. If you dont agree with my vg rating then dont bid.
I last used this phone back in 2009 in a 1988 Buick Regal. when you plug it in and let it charge - when you try and make a call it sends you to this collect call phone number where you put money on the phone. then you can call.I havent used it since. worked fine though 10 years ago. you can buy new parts for it cheap online still. like battery pack or charger unit, I believe the parts are compatible with other Motorola models of that year. (see specs below)
