Rare Vintage Hedberg San Jose Fire Truck Siren 12v

This is a very rare siren from Hedberg Manufacturing Company, San Jose, California. It is in good working condition, with the exception of the brake, which I don't believe is working. This siren is a particularly nice example; it has a chrome front cover and a chrome nose cone (both of which have some pitting) and the stator is polished brass. The data on the manufacturer's plate was hand-written, owing to the individually hand-made nature of these early sirens. Hedberg is a company lo...ng lost to history, but a very few working examples remain; most of those are on antique fire trucks.
