A VINTAGE J. SAINSBURY'S, SUPERIOR HOME MADE BLOATER PASTE, CERAMIC POT or JAR from the c1890's to the early 1900's period that has been found buried in a domestic rubbish ash / tip a few months ago. Note the superb attractive spiky design around the main transfer. The pot or jar measures 5.5cm high by 5cm in diameter across the base edge. It is in NEAR MINT CONDITION being clean with no chips, cracks or hairlines, there is no staining or residue left insi...de either, there is some light wear to the base edge and very fine glaze crackling as pictured above. The fine crackling has been present for many years and has been caused by prolonged burial underground of over 100 years. I am quite happy to combine purchases for buyers to help save money on postage and shipping costs.
