Original Description:
Up for auction is a very attractive early vellum Bible leaf in Latin, English origin, circa 1260.  There are a few large blue initials with extending red penwork.  There are also some contemporary marginal notations.  Despite some minor staining and a crescent-shaped hole in the far margin (not affecting any text), this early Bible leaf is in very good condition - it measures approx. 7 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
