Item History & Price
Purchase directly from Mark McCloud. It was framed at Michael’s in Folsom, California it was a $137(AND THAT WAS ON SALE) frame job it will protect the art for its lifetime there will be no feeding of the very sensitive lavender ink due to the expensive plus used it is on perforated as these were made in the late 70s before perforation became a thing the border itself... is in mint condition if there are any imperfections u see I can clarify with close up pictures. No drugs have ever been in contact with this art it is strictly for collecting it is permanently frame attempting to take it out of the frame will only ruin the art. The expense of shipping is for expensive packaging to make sure that this beautiful piece of history makes it to you in one piece.Feel free to make me an offerOn Aug-21-19 at 14:51:51 PDT, seller added the following information:This item is professionally framed the job was done by Michael’s it is called a float meeting the Blotter floats in the frameThis is done to prevent any loss to any art on the edge of the water as when you have a matted frame and blotter won 8 to 1/4 inch on each side and sometimes some pieces call for that and some down this is a custom color frame that was custom match to the ink used there are no stains or tears dog years or anything else that would make thisAny less than condition Mark McLeod has many of his bloggers framed the same way if you would like I can show you pictures of the rear of the frame I believe I paid $107 to have this framed I still do I have the receipt if you would like that as well the glass museum grade meaning the lavender ink won’t ever fade if displaying under lightsOn Aug-21-19 at 17:48:43 PDT, seller added the following information:I have added 4 more photos it doesn’t seem like my phones camera is working well. The new pictures show the backside of the frame and the White Glove Promise signed by the framersOn Aug-22-19 at 19:58:00 PDT, seller added the following information:Also this Blotter was apart of “The Litmus Test” which took.place recently at the Fort Wayne Museum Of Art. They revealed that it is actually the first blotter to use an image. Before capt L it was dots and lines he was the first ink on blotter that was solely for looks and had no dosing or cutting aids. (See new images added) Capt L is circa Early 1970’s and actually has a twin sheet that is just a white blotter print with black boxes on it. They are the same size abs were done by the same people.
