Up for sale is a Vntg 1970's manual wind I.F.R. Instrument Flight Rules HEUER Swiss Made Pilots Stop Watch that is Working Fine. After the pointer arm/arrow makes one revolution, a minute is added to the lower window. So this stop watch keeps track of minutes as well as seconds. The end of the arrow is painted with glow in the dark paint still glows in the dark, see my last photo. The glow is charged by holding the face of the stop watch close to a light bulb. The paint doesn't ho...ld it's charge for more than 30 seconds. This stopwatch plus the pilots watch would have made up a pilots I.F.R. timing kit. During times of low/no visibility, these two pieces were used to time navigation during Instrument Flight Rules flying. This auction is just for the stopwatch. The metal in this stopwatch is nonmagnetic. I just bought this from the pilot who used it. He kept it in his plane so he could use it when he needed it. It weighs 4 ozs., has a 2" diameter and is 11/16" thick.- This vintage stopwatch is in good working order. The plastic lens cover has tiny scratches and scuffs from years of use and handling.
