Great items from Leeds United's 1926/27 season.One is hand-written, the other has newspaper cuttings from same season.There is some writing at the back of one of the exercise books as detailed in pictures.The books are small but interesting for a Leeds United historian as it shows how fans recorded the club in its early days after formation

Further information: The pictures have been stuck down, but a few are coming away as the adhesive from when they were put in the exercise books all those years ago obviously does not last forever.Also, the dimensions of the exercise books are both 6.5" by 4".These are early exercise books, the staples have been removed. You will see in the pictures there is some rust around the staple holes as in match programmes from years gone by. Whoever took them out made a sensible decision as it has lessened damage to the material in the pages. Some bidders might have noticed that I cancelled another sale of a scrapbook. this was listed accidentally.As per the pictures and initial description, this sale is for 2 MINI EXERCISE book. SCRAPBOOKS.
On 09-Aug-19 at 07:31:35 BST, seller added the following information:Further to more questions I am detailing the contents of each exercise book.The handwritten book has 18 pages (36 sides). All but 7 have been filled out with details of players, transfers, results, team line ups and other statistical information. I cannot how stress how impressively it has been done. A real gem of an item.
The other exercise book is 16 pages (32 sides). It has original newspaper clips of pen pictures and match action. There are a total of 23 pictures. Some, as noted before, are coming away from the paper but all are stuck in to some extent.As a historical item it does not get any better as its original items from almost a century years ago!On 09-Aug-19 at 08:36:36 BST, seller added the following information:One further note, on further examination of the hand written exercise book, there is a page where the owner has recorded information of Jennings up to 1931-32. From what I can tell, and I'm no expert, this information was added in later.The 1926/27 season is the main focus of the item.
The exercise book with pictures seems to only have material from the 1926/27 season. I've been able to track to the games to that season. But please be aware, I am not a historian so can only list from what I see. I have tried to be as clear as I can about these items because I will not accept returns. They have been listed to the best of my knowledge, so only bid on this basis.
