The first two photosshow details of my stock specimen plants growing on cork tubes; photos three and four show the well-established cutting grown plant from my stock plants, grownin a bark+perlite+treefern+ charcoal mix in a 3.5” square plastic pot. This young lanthas three growing points, a new growth and is just starting to take off. When grown under veryshady and humid conditions, this clone will produce almost jet-black leaves. Verystriking!!Anthurium clidemioides var. clidemioid...es is a prized plant for raretropical plant growers that originates in the Caribbean coastal rainforestsfrom Nicaragua to Costa Rica. Beside its dwarf, climbing habit they mostnotable feature of this plant are the bubbled, metallic green leaves thatinevitably provoke cries of admiration from plant growers who see it for thefirst time! Of easy warm, humid cultivation, it is an outstanding choice forlarge terraria and for vivaria housing small reptiles and amphibia, particularly treefrogs and dart frogs. Long experience growing this plantsuggests that small amounts of soluble calcium added every month or so to thefertilizer regimen produces more vigorous growth.This is anexceptional clone that originated from Colon province, Costa Rica, and appearsto be the only one that has flowered in cultivation so far.All plants offered are greenhouse grown on benches in the San FranciscoBay Area, California.Shipping: Plants will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail withtracking number for physical addresses within three working days of receipt ofpayment, weather permitting. 72-hour heat packs are available for an additionalnominal charge.Wherever possible, plants will beshipped in plastic pots or baskets.
