The camera is Mahogany and covered in leather.
The leather is scratched up but the wood looks like new.

The mahogany lens board is easily removable. The front rises and falls.
This has two leather bellows, a conical one in front and a square one in the rear.
I don’t see any light leaks on either.
The front one has some staining on top.
The wood frame back that has a ground glass that is clean and undamaged.
The reversing back feature mean you can remove the back and re-attach it at 90 degrees.
It allows for film plates to be inserted in it. It has a tilt feature.
The handle on top has some leather missing.
There are two hinged windows on the box. One on top and one on the side. The side one has a loose hinge. This is for easy loading of plates with the back bellows closed.
If this came with a small viewer on the front ramp it is long gone.
A special extension rack and pinion movement for careful and accurate focusing is part of this model. It moves well.
Under the lens is an ivory plate that said “Long Focus Montauk” but it is mostly worn off.
The focusing scale has “G Gennert” on it.
The front ramp has another plate the says “Almer Coe Cameras & Supplies, 65 State St Chicago”.
The shutter has the speeds 3, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/5, 1/25, 1/50 and 1/100 marked on it .I tested them and they still seem very accurate.
The diaphragm scale lists 2.9, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256.
The shutter and diaphragm work very well.
Patent date on the shutter/lens says “Bausch & Lomb Opt. Co. Jan 6 1891 NY Rochester Chicago”.
There is a tripod mounting hole on the bottom of the box.
When opened it is 26 inches by 9 inches.
