Up for auction is a rare Antique Milo Triplex Kettlebell Exercise Weight. The history of the Milo company begins In 1902 when Alan Calvert established the Milo Barbell Company and kettlebells were among his first products. He went through several different designs and In 1908 Alan Calvert released the Milo Triplex, weight that allowed you to change the load by adding or removing weight plates to the end of it. This one was found in a friends estate who picked it years ago from a buildi...ng that used to have a gym that is now long since gone and was used as a door stop years ago. Oddly, many people mistook its design and shape as a prison weight for the ankles missing the chain. This one is in very nice shape considering the age, showing wear and is in as found condition. We were not apple to separate the two halves and you can hear what sounds like a ball rolling around inside the weight. It weights on scale right around 35.95 pounds and is just a cool item for display or for the collector of early Milo products.
